School Family Worker (part-time)

Required from 1 September 2023: Staploe Education Trust is seeking to recruit a School Family Worker to support Soham Village College, The Shade Primary School and Kennett Primary School, to strengthen family relationships and increase engagement with parents in their children’s education and the wider community.

The role of the School Family Worker is to work with parents, carers and children with emerging needs to provide a mixture of individual and group interventions (with an emphasis on early intervention), up to higher threshold services, to improve outcomes for these children and their families.

If you like working with young people and their families, this is a very rewarding and varied role. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to enthuse and motivate others.

15 hours per week
term time plus 4 days
The distribution of hours worked can be flexible and will be discussed at interview
Salary range - £9,723 - £10,468
Based on fte £27,344 - £29,439
(Dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience)
